Vestibular Neuronitis

Vestibular neuronitis describes a single or series of vertigo attacks. I may be accompanied by nausea, vomiting or a cold. It is caused by inflammation of the nerve that connects the inner ear to the brain (the vestibular nerve). Vestibular neuronitis is believed to be caused by a viral infection.
