Sinusitis

Sinusitis is the inflammation of the sinus cavaties. It can result from bacterial, fungal or viral infection, allergies or autoimmune problems. The length of the infection ranges from less to four weeks in acute cases to over 12 weeks for chronic cases. Symptoms include pain, headache, fever, nasal discharge, vertigo and blurred vision. Acute cases are treated with antihistamine along with decongestant or pain relievers. Chronic episodes are sometimes treated with a nasal flush to promote general sinus cavity health.
