Scleritis

Scleritis is a inflammatory disease which affects the sclera (the white coating of the eye). It frequently occurs in conjunction with other diseases or conditions; abnormal menstruation being one. For this reason, this disease occurs commonly amongst young women. There are three types of the disease some more serious than others. Treatment can range from surgery (in more severe cases) to antibiotics or anti-inflammatory medicine.
