Rheumatoid Arthritis

Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic autoimmune disorder in which one's immune system attacks their joints, causing inflammation and destruction. This inversion of the immune system can also be damaging to some organs such as the lungs and skin. The joint inflammation can be very painful and in some cases debilitating. There are a variety of treatment options, from physical therapy to pain medications to new experimental drugs.
