Rabies

Rabies is a viral vector born disease that causes acute inflammation of the brain. It is most commonly caused by a bite from an infected animal. The symptoms of an infected patient are grim; malaise, headache and fever at the onset, violent movements, depression, mania and coma in the later stages. It is almost always fatal, only ONE known case of a young girl who recently survived the disease is described.
