Ischaemic Heart Disease

Ischaemic heart disease, is characterized by low blood flow to the heart. It is usually caused by coronary artery disease. Risk factors for the disease include old age, smoking, high cholesterol diabetes and hypertension. It is more commen in men than women. It is the most common cause of death in the majority of Western countries.
