Diplopia

Diplopia (double vision) occurs when one sees two images of a single object. Diplopia can be binocular (arising from a misalignment of the both eyes) or monocular (when diplopia is experienced when viewing with one eye only). Excessive alcohol consumption or a concussion can cause diplopia. Glasses, vision therapy, or drugs can remedy the condition; the specific course of treatment depends on the underlying cause.
