Anisometropia is a congenital condition in where one's eyes have unequal refractions. In other words, the eyes have different levels of nearsightedness, farsightedness, or when one eye is nearsighted and the other is farsighted. If undiagnosed during childhood, anisometropia can lead to the development of a lazy eye. The use of glasses can help reverse the condition.
